Sylveon analysis - is it viable?
Let's discuss a strategy that's been working incredibly well for me lately - Weather Offense!
I've been running a Sun team and the damage output is absolutely insane. Here's the basic concept:
The Setup:
Lead with Drought Ninetales to automatically set Sun. This boosts Fire-type moves by 50% and activates Chlorophyll on your Grass-types.
Key Pokemon:
- Ninetales (Drought setter)
- Venusaur (Chlorophyll sweeper)
- Charizard (Solar Power variant)
- Excadrill (Sand Rush for anti-weather)
How It Works:
Under Sun, Venusaur doubles its speed and can outspeed most of the tier. Solar Beam becomes a 1-turn nuke, and Growth gives +2/+2 in Sun. Charizard with Solar Power hits absurdly hard, though the recoil is rough.
Counters to Watch:
- Rain teams (weather war)
- Rock-types (Rock Slide spam)
- Tyranitar (Sand Stream cancels Sun)
Has anyone else been running Sun teams? What's your experience been like?
